Forget Me Not and Ladybird Brooch

A one of a kind brooch featuring both ladybird and forget-me-not charms and fine silver leaves to create a cluster of icons of a summer garden. 

The forget me not is a real favourite and common in many British gardens, and as it's name suggests is used as a symbol remembrance, and is also considered a lucky charm - much like the ladybird. 

The leaves within the brooch are created from impressing real leaves in silver clay and firing to create fine (999) silver leaf charms which are each completely unique. The have a small amount of oxidisation to bring out the veins and detail of the leaves. 

Each of the glass charms are created from tiny original photographs which are set beneath the domed glass which magnifies the black and red dotty wings of the ladybird and pretty pastel petals of the forget me not flower. 

A the element are arranged on a swirl of wire, soldered in place and finished with a simple pin and C shape clasp. 

The brooch measures 38mm x 25mm in total and is designed so that it can be worn in any orientation. 

The brooch is supplied gift boxed, with a soft fabric polishing cloth, care instructions, anti tarnish slip to keep it sparkling and little card telling you all about the history and symbolism of ladybirds and forget me nots.
